Public Transportation

Alewife Station

The Alewife MBTA Station serves the Red Line and several bus routes. The station is located just a 5 minute walk away from Tempo! For more information on transit schedules and fares, go to MBTA.com/schedules/Red/line.


Tempo offers free or discounted passes for new residents. Contact the property manager for more information.

Active Commuting

The Minuteman Bikeway, Fitchburg Cut-off Path, the Alewife Greenway Bike Path, and the Alewife Linear Park/Somerville Community Path are all located near to the site. Visit AlewifeTMA.org/active-commuting for more information about nearby bike and walking paths.

Tempo Cambridge Shuttle Service

Enjoy a hassle-free commute with Tempo's convenient, free shuttle service to Alewife T Station! Available Monday through Friday, the shuttle picks up residents directly in front of your apartment building and takes you to Alewife Station, making your morning and evening commute easier than ever. Morning service runs from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and evening service operates from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Whether you’re heading to work or returning home, this shuttle ensures a stress-free journey without the hassle of parking. Simply hop on and enjoy the ride! It’s one more way we make living at Tempo even more convenient.

Alewife TMA Shuttle Service

The Alewife TMA operates a private shuttle service between Alewife MBTA Station and local businesses Monday through Friday during peak commuting hours. This shuttle makes stops at locations along Concord Avenue, Fawcett Street, Moulton Street and Wilson Road in Cambridge. Visit AlewifeTMA.org/alewife-loop-shuttle for more details.

Emergency Ride Home Program (ERH)

You will never be left at work on the days when you commute sustainably. If an emergency arises on a workday when you commute by transit, shuttle, carpool, biking, or walking, the Alewife TMA has got you covered. Take Lyft home compliments of Alewife TMA!

FlexRide Carpool Incentive Program

The Alewife TMA's FlexRide Carpool Incentive Program makes sharing your commute easier and more rewarding! We’ll help you find a carpool partner and, as a bonus, carpoolers can earn a $25 Amazon Gift Card each month.

Bluebikes

Nemo Bike Roadside Assistance

The Alewife TMA has teamed up with Nemo to offer free roadside assistance for bikers. If you experience a maintenance issue while biking to or from work, school or running errands, you can rely on Nemo's expert bike mechanics to help anywhere within their service area from 7 AM. to 7 PM, Monday through Friday.


Road Side Services Covered

The Alewife TMA covers the cost for Nemo to be dispatched to your location to help with flat tires, chain troubles, brake issues, and other minor repairs. If you need a new inner tube, that's also included at no extra cost. If additional replacement parts or specialized repairs are required, Nemo may be able to provide those to you for an additional cost.

Bluebikes

Free Gold Level Bluebikes Memberships are available to employees working at 87 & 101 Cambridgepark Drive. Contact your HR department for more information.

Monthly Commuter Challenges

Every month, the Alewife TMA hosts engaging commuter contests and activities with fantastic prizes!


Examples include a Bike to Work Challenge in May, Car Free Day in September, Earth Day activities and more! These challenges are typically geared at encouraging and rewarding the use of alternative commuting options.
