About Bike to Work Programs
The Alewife TMA provides its members with the resources and tools they need to choose an active commute mode like biking or walking to work. The Alewife TMA offers bike safety information, conducts cycling commuter workshops including appointments for bike tune-ups with certified local bike mechanics, and assists in arranging buddy or group rides among members.
Bluebikes
Bluebikes is a public bike share system in various cities across the Commonwealth. Bluebikes are a great way to get around the Alewife/Fresh Pond area, Cambridge, and surrounding cities and towns.
Bluebikes stations in the Alewife TMA Service area are located at:

- Alewife Station at Russell Field
- 84 Cambridge Park Drive
- 87/101 Cambridgepark Drive
- Smith Pl at Wilson Road
- Cambridge Discovery Park – 30 Acorn Park Drive

Nemo Bike Roadside Assistance
The Alewife TMA has teamed up with Nemo to offer
free roadside assistance
for bikers If you experience a maintenance issue while biking to or from work, school or running errands, you can rely on Nemo's
expert bike mechanics to help anywhere
within their service area from 7 AM. to 7 PM, Monday through Friday.
Roadside Services Covered
The Alewife TMA covers the cost for Nemo to be dispatched to your location to help with
flat tires, chain troubles, brake issues, and other minor repairs. If you need a new inner tube, that's also included at no extra cost. If additional replacement parts or specialized repairs are required, Nemo may be able to provide those to you for an additional cost.

On-Site Bike Safety Check Events
During the months of May and June, the Alewife TMA hosts on-site bike safety check events at member locations. We partner with local bike shops, and professional bike technicians to perform safety checks and make minor adjustments to our clients' bikes. Creating a Cycle Community
Join the eCommuter Bike Buddy Program
Registering for eCommuter helps you to find your best biking routes as well as matches your profile with other bike commuters who live and work nearby. The goal of the Bike Buddy program is to encourage more commuters to try biking to work and to ultimately increase the amount of trips made by bicycle.
The Bike Buddy Program is flexible and helps you to design a commute that best meets your needs and schedule. All information in eCommuter is secure and private.
