The Alewife TMA is partnered with the Middlesex 3 TMA for shuttle services providing commuters with transportation options between Alewife Station and The District in Burlington.

  • When does the shuttle operate?

    The shuttle operates Monday through Friday during peak AM and PM hours. 


    There is no shuttle service on weekends and the following holidays:

    • New Year's Day
    • Presidents' Day
    • Memorial Day
    • Independence Day
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving (and the day after)
    • Christmas Day
  • Where are the shuttle stops located?

    At The District Burlington the shuttle pickup/drop-off area is located at front entrance of building 800, across from the parking garage.


    At Alewife Station the shuttle pickup/dropoff area is on the ground level between the taxi-stand and the parking garage car entrance. Make sure to go to the shuttles pickup area (not the MBTA buses). 


  • Who can ride this shuttle?

    Commuters from Alewife TMA member organizations can ride. Tickets are required for riding the shuttle. Request your tickets via the online form above or by emailing Director@AlewifeTMA.org.

  • Is there a cost to ride this shuttle?

    The Alewife TMA is offering a free one-week trial aboard The District shuttle in Burlington.  For your free trial email Director@AlewifeTMA.org


    Available Ticket Types:

    • 10-Round Trip Rides - $40
    • 20-Round Trip Rides - $75

    Tickets are available through the MassDOT Bus Plus app on Google Play or the App Store. Please contact us with any questions. 

  • How can I track the shuttle location?

    You can track the shuttle on the live GPS tracker through the Ride Systems mobile app or at m3tma-shuttles.com.


    The shuttle is not able to wait for late riders. Please be outside 5 minutes before the scheduled time. 


    Please note: all scheduled times are approximate due to traffic and weather conditions in the area.

  • Who operates the shuttle?

    TransAction Corporate Shuttles operates the shuttle. The Middlesex 3 TMA manages its operations and helps to facilitate partnerships like the one with the Alewife TMA.
